About the 10k event
Looking for more of a challenge without any pressure? Race for Life 10k is for you!
Our 10k events are now chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best – while you’re raising funds to help beat cancer.
10k is just over 6 miles. Take it at your own pace or push yourself a little more. Have fun with it and enjoy the atmosphere.

Event details
The start line is in the middle of Pitchcroft Racecourse. When planning your journey to the event, please allow an extra 5minutes to get to the start once you have arrived at the racecourse.
The finish line is in the middle of Pitchcroft Racecourse.

Pedestrians: The event can be accessed via foot in different areas. You can access the event site, either through pitchcroft car park, grandstand road or water works road.
General Event Parking: There will be no event car parking for this event due to its location.
We recommend car sharing and using public transport to get yourself to and from the event.
Pitchcroft car park has limited space and we recommend to use alternative areas to avoid disappointment. This is the main entrance/exit for emergency services and for blue badge holders only.

Blue Badge Parking: Pitchcroft car park is the closest, however it does have limited space.

Volunteer Parking: Hardstanding within the racecourse.
Drop Offs: Please use pitchcroft car park as a drop off and pick up area. There will be stewards located around the car park, so please listen to their instructions.
Public Transport:-
Bus: There are multiple buses that go into Worcester City Centre. The closest stop to the event is Worcester City Bus Station which is 0.4 Miles away.
Train: Worcester foregate train station is the closest to the event. This is 0.4 miles away.
Electric Charging points: The closest charging station to the event, is Asda Car Park. this is 1mile away to the event.
Cycling & Bike Racks: Pitchcroft car park has an area of bike racks to be used for locking bikes. There is only 500m away from the event site.
Accessibility description: This event is deemed suitable for wheelchairs with assistance. Assistance is required due to the nature of the terrain. The event site and part of the course are on grass and this can become boggy in to poor weather conditions. there are some uneven paths, however most are relatively flat.

Bring a water bottle
We’re trying to reduce single-use plastic at Race for Life. Please bring your own reusable water bottle, already filled. We'll provide an ecofriendly water-refill station at the finish that uses as little single-use plastic as possible.
Have the right kit
It’s a good idea to check the weather before your event and dress accordingly. Think breathable sports gear (leggings and shorts are ideal) and well-fitting trainers. For Pretty Muddy, wear something you don’t mind getting dirty.

Be sun smart
Stay sun safe by finding shade when you’re not on the course and covering up with clothes, a hat and sunglasses. On parts you can’t cover, use sunscreen with at least SPF15 and a 4 or 5 star rating. Find out more about being sun smart.
Your back sign and race number
Remember to bring your back sign and Race number which will be sent to you in the post – don’t forget safety pins so you can attach them to you.
