Our 10k events are now chip-timed, so you can find out if you’ve beaten your personal best – while you’re raising funds to help beat cancer.
10k is just over 6 miles. Take it at your own pace or push yourself a little more. Have fun with it and enjoy the atmosphere.

By car
General Event Parking: There is no designated Race for Life participant car park, but Harlow Town Park is within walking distance of the town centre car parks and the car park at Harlow Town Railway Station. The nearest car parks can be found at: http://www.harlow.gov.uk/carpark-townpark
Blue Badge Parking: There is no designated Race for Life participant car park, closest car park with blue badge parking is Harlow Town Railway station and town centre car parks.
Volunteer Parking: Volunteers should use the general event parking.
Drop Offs:There is no designated event drop off location at Harlow Town Park
Electric Charging points: There are none available at this event. Closest ones are Charge Point charging station - 1.3 miles and Pod Point charging station - 1.3 miles.
Public transport and pedestrians:
Pedestrians: You can access the event site from any direction and you will see the main event site opposite the playground.
Bus: First Bus also operate a service to Harlow Town Park – see timetables at www.firstgroup.com/ukbus/.
Train: The nearest rail station is Harlow Town.
Cycling & Bike Racks: There are none available at this event. There are 52 bike racks at Harlow Town Railway station
With some undulating paths, we advise that this is suitable for wheelchair users with assistance as there are two large inclines located near School Lane in addition to some undulating paths throughout the route.
We aim for maximum accessibility at our events. Our contact centre and on-site team are ready to assist with any needs or questions you may have.
Additional Support request badges are available, and our Event Managers are trained Dementia Friends.
Bring a water bottle
We’re trying to reduce single-use plastic at Race for Life. Please bring your own reusable water bottle, already filled. We'll provide an ecofriendly water-refill station at the finish that uses as little single-use plastic as possible.
Have the right kit
It’s a good idea to check the weather before your event and dress accordingly. Think breathable sports gear (leggings and shorts are ideal) and well-fitting trainers. For Pretty Muddy, wear something you don’t mind getting dirty.

Be sun smart
Stay sun safe by finding shade when you’re not on the course and covering up with clothes, a hat and sunglasses. On parts you can’t cover, use sunscreen with at least SPF15 and a 4 or 5 star rating. Find out more about being sun smart.
Your back sign and race number
Remember to bring your back sign and Race number which will be sent to you in the post – don’t forget safety pins so you can attach them to you.
